3.2.1. Frequency bands in which channel arrangement is made are the bands:
- Allocated to Fixed Service in the Viet Nam’s Radio Frequency Spectrum Plan for Services which was promulgated by Prime Minister in Decision 85/1998/QD-TTg, April 16, 1998.
- Channel arrangement for microwave systems is available in Recommendation(s) of the International Telecommunication Union, edition 1997.
3.2.2. In each band, there may be different channel patterns that are used for different transmission rates (e.g., 4MB/s, 8MB/s, 34MB/s,…) or for different purposes (point-to-point or point-to-multipoint).
3.2.3. In each channel pattern:
- The numbers in the pattern are frequency parameters as addressed in 3.1, Session III, the Second Part above.
- A note provides following information:
+ ITU-R Recommendation(s) based on which channel pattern is made
+ Application: type of system is allowed
+ Transmission capacity: defines type of transmission capacity that frequency assignment is madewith priority for the system. The capacity is MB/s for digital microwave systems and is FDM for analogue microwave systems.
+ Minimum transmission distance: applied to areas where demand of spectrum is high such as big cities, high populated areas. The minimum transmission distance is regulated by Regulator. Only microwave systems, whose transmission distance is not shorter than the minimum transmission distance, are allowed to operate in the band.
+ Formula to calculate center frequency of a channel applies to main channels. Center frequency of interleaved channel (if any) is derived by shifting center frequency of adjacent main channel by X/2 (MHz). Interleaved channel may be used only if assignment of main channel is not feasible.
+Refrain from frequency assigning: defines conditions for assigning and use of a frequency channel in the channel pattern.
- Table of main channel’s center frequency (if any) lists all center frequency of mainchannels.
