In this Plan, the following terms are interpreted as follows:

1. “Channel” means a small frequency band portion in a frequency band having a defined center frequency.

2. “Land mobile service” means a radiocommunication service between mobile and land stations, or between mobile stations.

3. “Fixed service” means a radiocommunication service between specified fixed points.

4. “One frequency channel transmission” means a operating method in which transmission is made possible in one direction or both directions but not simultaneously and requires only one frequency channel.

5. “Two frequency channel transmission” means a operating method in which transmission between two stations requires 2 frequency channels.

6. “Simplex operation” means a operating method in which transmission is made possible alternately in each direction of a telecommunication channel.

7. “Duplex operation” means a operating method in which transmission is possible simultaneously in both directions of a telecommunication channel.

8. “Semi-duplex operation” mean a method which is simplex operation at one end of the circuit and duplex operation at the other.

9. “Microwave system” means a radiocommunication system belonging to fixed service operates in frequency range above 30 MHz, propagates radio signals in troposphere and normally consists of one or several relay stations.

10. “Point-to-point communication (applied to microwave system)” means transmission link between two stations located at two defined fixed locations. 

11. “Point-to-multipoint communication (applied to microwave system)” means transmission links between a fixed station located at a defined location and other fixed stations located at defined locations.

12. “Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) microwave system” means a digital microwave system capable of carrying synchronous digital hierarchy signals.

13. “Interleaved channel arrangement” means arrangement of additional channels interleaved between main channels, center frequency of an interleaved channel is shifted by a half channel bandwidth compared with center frequency of the adjacent main channel.
